Blanchard Funeral Chapel was founded by Edward Blanchard Sr. and his wife Beverly in 1973. An antique Cape home on a former farm was purchased and the business was started. Working in the community with the motto “Dignified, Dedicated Service to All” the business has grown to be a trusted establishment here in Whitman as well as in all of the surrounding towns.

The funeral home continues to be an independent family operated home thirty years later. A second generation of the Blanchard family is also now involved and will continue the personal service that Beverly and Edward have been known for. Their daughter Jolene and her husband Robert Tonello who is a funeral director have worked at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel for more than 10 years.

Room for Your Family and Guests to Gather

Blanchard Funeral Chapel is known in the area as the funeral home at the rotary in Whitman with THE LAWN. The facilities include the large off street parking for more that 75 vehicles and two large viewing rooms that seat 80 people.

The complete facility is on one level and is totally accessible to the physically challenged. There is a new ramp to access the main entrance to the funeral home, four designated parking spaces as well as both the men’s and the ladies’ restrooms.
