Obituary

Alice U. (Harriman) Spencer, 85 died Saturday July 8th in the Madonna Manor in, Attleboro, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Ronald Spencer, Sr.

Born and brought up in Brockton, daughter of the late Vincent and Marion (Crawford)Harriman. She attended Brockton Schools.

Alice also lived in Washington State, Virginia and Sandwich.

She retired from Shaw's supermarket, where she was a cashier for 25 years .Alice was also a welder at the Fore River shipyard in her earlier years.

Alice sang with the Brockton Oratario's for many years

She enjoyed gardening and traveling.


She is survived by her three sons Frederick of Hanson, Ronald, Jr. of VA. and Richard Spencer of WA., two daughters ,Valerie Malinowski of Brockton and Rebecca Bollens of Raynham her brother and sister, Warren Harriman of Sandwich and Janet Henderson of Wareham; also 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren ,many nieces and nephews She was also the sister of the late Vincent,Charles, Eugene and Roger Harriman and Vera Shadrick.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday July 15th at 4:00 P.M. in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street Rt.58 (at the rotary circle), Whitman, Ma. Visiting hours Saturday July 15th, 1-4 P.M. Burial will be at a later date. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 311 Arsenal St, Watertown, Ma.02472
