Barbara “Sandy Morton” Gallager, 92, of Whitman passed away at Colony Center in Abington on March 31, 2026.

She was the daughter of the late Walter and Agnes George of Dorchester.

Sandy worked as a clerk at the Brockton Post Office for over 20 years. She graduated from Dot. High for girls in 1950. Barbara lived in Whitman, MA the last 27 years.

Sandy is predeceased by her late husband James Clyde Gallager. She leaves behind three children- her son the late Joseph Morton, her son John Morton and his wife Terry and their two children; daughter Chrissa Morton and son Shay Morton and wife Gabby; her daughter Terri Spillane and her husband Jamie and their three children; son Michael Lynch and his wife Brittany; daughter Rachel Spillane and son Jared Spillane.
