Obituary

Brian P. Monahan, 64, of Brockton, MA, formerly of Whitman, died unexpectedly on February 24, 2023.
Born in South Weymouth, he was the son of the late Donald and Patricia Monahan.

He attended Whitman Public Schools and graduated from Whitman-Hanson Regional High School, Class of 1977. After High School he enlisted in the US Army and served overseas in Germany, he was a trained marksman. Brian retired from the Veterans Administration where he worked for 20 years.

Brian's interests were varied, he was a collector sports and historical memorabilia items.
He is survived by his brothers, Donald and his wife Jean, and Timothy and his wife Susan, and his sister-in-law Karen. He also leaves behind his best friend Joe Piacquaddio, of Springhill, FL, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Steven, and Kevin.

Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral services on Friday March 3 at 9:30 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will follow at 12:45 PM in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. By request, all other services are omitted.
