Obituary

Carl "Butch" Roberts, 79, beloved husband of 61 years to Margaret, loving father to the late Wayne Patrick and daughter Denise (Roberts) Stearns and her husband Paul (PJ) Stearns, and adored Papa to Matthew Wayne and Emily Margaret, passed away on Thursday May 19, 2022, after experiencing a stroke.

He was an adorned Brother-in-Law and cherished Uncle.

Butch was born and raised in Pembroke, Massachusetts and spent most of his life living and raising his family in Pembroke. However, he has spent the last 10yrs living his best and fullest life with Margaret in Franklin, NH.

Butch loved building his career as a truck driver through several companies on the South Shore. He started driving for Kelliher Oil Company, Angelo Supermarket, Purity Supreme, Shawn Harris Enterprises, and Bridgewater Farm Supply. He has made strong and lifelong friendships through his many years of driving.

Butch was an avid outdoorsman; he loved sailing, four wheeling, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, camping and being with his family and friends at the end of a long day.

Family and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services for Butch on Wednesday May 25th at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Route 58 at Rotary) Whitman. There will be visiting hours between 4-6pm with the services immediately following the visitation at 6pm in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel.
