Beloved wife and loving mother Catie Frances (Delaney) Peters, 42, of Whitman, MA passed away suddenly on June 16, 2026. She was born in Saginaw, MI to Craig and Connie (Johnson) Delaney.
At age 9 Catie and family moved to Islesboro, ME. Graduated high school 2002 and continued her education at the University of Maine, Orono. She embraced college life, met her husband Jeffrey Peters and graduated in 2007 with a bachelor degree in early childhood development. Upon graduation she moved to Massachusetts to begin her career teaching. Catie worked at Bright Horizons, St. Mary of the Hills School, and The Easton Country Day School.
Catie had the most incredible gift of interacting with children. Her love for children throughout her life showed by starting babysitting at age 9, caring for her younger cousins, being the best aunt possible, becoming a neighborhood mom, and culminating in becoming the mom of 2 amazing boys.
Catie is survived by her devoted husband of almost 15 years Jeffrey Peters; her loving boys, Jeffrey II and Maxwell; her mom, Connie (Johnson) Delaney; her sister, Cami (Delaney) Richards and husband Matt and their children Mariah, Izak, Cooper, and Corbin; her brother, Craig (Bud) Delaney and daughters Icelynn and Ember; her in-laws, Gary and Kathy Peters; Ellen (Boutlier) Peters and her children Meghan and Ryan; many aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as numerous friends and neighbors that have become family. She is reunited in heaven with her father Craig Delaney, brother-in-law Jonathan Peters, grandparents, and many other loving family members.
Catie embodied a spirit and inspiration to all those who surrounded her and will forever live in our hearts.
Family and friends are invited to attend Catie's visiting hours on Friday, June 26th from 4:007:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Catie’s memory to Whitman & Hanson Dollars for Scholars.
