Chester L. Field jr, 92, of Whitman, Massachusetts went to be with the Lord on October 19, 2026, at Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. 

Born in Arlington, Massachusetts in 1934 son of Chester L. Field and Evelyn A. (Mayberger) Field, He graduated from Harvard University in 1954 and spent the next 72 years as a draftsman and a licensed Architect. 

He loved to read, watch travel videos of distant lands. His steadfast faith in God was displayed throughout his life. 

He was husband of the late Melinda (Bradeen) Field for 62 years. Chester was preceded in death by his son Christopher Field and his granddaughter Elizabeth Fulton. He leaves behind a son, Jeffrey Field of Whitman, MA and a daughter, Melinda Fulton (Field) and her husband Dan and their daughter Jordan of Weymouth, MA. 

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Tuesday, October 27th from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman.
