Obituary

Daniel A. Helms 24, died Sunday in the Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. He was the son of Dorothy (Dodge) and David Lemieux, of Whitman and Arthur S. Helms, Jr. of Abington. Daniel was born in Boston, brought up in Whitman, and a graduate of South Shore Vo-Tech class of 2002. He was a 3rd year apprentice at the Walsh Mechanical in Abington, and was a member of the sheet metal union Local 17. Daniel loved working on cars, riding motorcycles, and enjoyed computers and spending time with family.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Roger and Shirley Greenough of Abington, Helen Lemieux of Duxbury, his great-grandmother Mary E. Smith of Whitman, his sister Samantha Lemieux of Whitman, his fiancé Jessica Murphy of Rockland, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

His funeral services will be held Friday November 30th at 10:00 AM, in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Route 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Abington. Visiting hours Thursday November 29th 4-8 P.M. Donations may be made to the Brigham & Womens Hospital, Friends of NICU, 75 Francis Street, Boston, Ma 02115
