Obituary


Dorothy I. (Sweatt) Taylor, 86, died Monday at the Caritas Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, after a period of failing health.

Born and brought up in, Franklin New Hampshire, daughter of the late Edwin and Marvel (Riel) Sweatt, she was a graduate of Franklin High School.

She had lived in Weymouth for 33 years then, in Whitman for seventeen years.

Dorothy was a nurse's aid for the Bradley manor in Weymouth for 15 years.

She enjoyed plants, playing cards and especially the love for animals.

She is survived by her children, Dennis Taylor of Whitman, Janet Talbot of North Weymouth, Sharon Kelley of Halifax and Jo Anne Holbrook of Loudon NH., 7 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Edrie Irving and Muriel Lawrence.

Her funeral will be on Friday March 2nd at 10:00 A.M. in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street, (Route 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery, Whitman, MA. Visiting hours Thursday, March 1st 6-9.Memorial contributions may be made to the MSPCA, 1300 West Elm Street Ext., Brockton, Ma. 02301.
