Obituary

Earle James Wassmouth, 87, a longtime resident of Whitman, MA, and a Korean War veteran, died peacefully at his home on July 23rd, with his wife of 64 years, Jean (Teufel) Wassmouth by his side.

Earle worked at MIT for over 30 years in the aeronautics department helping students and astronauts with many different projects. Earle was an honorary member of NASA.

In addition to his wife Jean, he is survived by his sister Jeanne (Wassmouth) Snow of Whitman, and his 3 children, James Wassmouth and his wife Dawn, Jan Dell'Oro and her husband John, and Christine Reagan and her husband Mark. Earle and Jean loved visiting with their 6 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.

He was a talented artist and cabinet maker and he will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on August 12th at 10:30am, at the United Methodist Church, 503 South Ave, Whitman, MA.
