Edward William Riley, 91, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. 

Edward was born in Stoneham, MA, on January 12, 1934. He was the son to the late William and Jean (Knowles) Riley. He was raised in Quincy and Weymouth. Edward was known as Ted or Ted/Ed to his family and many friends. Edward was a bartender at many restaurants along the south shore. Edward worked for the Town of Carver Department of Public Works. In his retirement years, he enjoyed being a seasonal Attendant at Edaville where he greeted the many visitors.

Edward was married to the late Dorothea (Fowler) Riley, which they shared many happy years together. They raised their family in Brockton and later moved to Carver.

Edward was an avid sports fan. He loved his Celtics, Patriots, and Bruins and also had a love for the New York Giants. Above all else, he loved to spend time with his family. One of his favorite things to do with them was to host family parties in his backyard.

Edward is survived by his three children; Paul Weese and his wife Janine of Thornton NH, Donald Weese and his wife Barbara of Tilton, NH, and Jeannine Sturge and her husband Mark of Halifax. He was the beloved grandfather to Donald, Jennifer, Nichole, Zachary, Ethan, Brian and Alexandria, Alex, Stephanie, and Aimee. Edward is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews, and the four-legged members of the family.
