Obituary

Whitman – Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Reade) Wilson 78, a longtime resident of Whitman, died Tuesday June 9 in her home, surrounded by loving family after a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph G. Wilson.

Born in Roxbury she was the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Lillian M. (Cregan) Reade.

Betty will be remembered and sadly missed by her large family and many friends.

She is survived by her eight loving children Stephen and his wife Deana of Assonet, Daniel and his wife Deborah of Orlando, FL, Michael of Whitman, Kathryn Spratt and her husband Todd of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Joseph and his wife Mary of Whitman, Robert of Rockland, John of Whitman and Mark and his wife Sara of Rockland, her siblings Thomas A. Reade, Linda J. Carey and Gerard F. Reade. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Margaret A. Boostrom and John A. Reade.

Her funeral service will be held Sunday June 14 at 5:30 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 2:00-5:30 PM. Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne on Monday June 15 at 10:45 AM.
