Francis (Frank ) Johnson, 87 of Whitman MA died on February 14, 2026 at the Brigham and Women's/ Faulkner Hospital with his wife and daughter by his side.

Born in Dorchester MA to the late Frederick and Isabelle Noyes, Frank graduated from Charlestown High School in 1958. He then enlisted in the Army National Guard and worked as a licensed Electrician for most of his career. Frank was also a member of the United States Naval Seabees. Frank was the Service Officer for NARFE Brockton Chapter 189.

Frank was employed by various government agencies including the Naval Shipyard of Charlestown and the former NAS South Weymouth where he proudly told everyone he locked the gates to the Base as it was decommissioned.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Patricia (Flaherty). As well as their children, Lynne Buckley and her husband John, Susan Johnson of beautiful Onset and Frank Johnson and his wife Anna of WI. “Pup” of Joseph and his wife Alison, Marissa and her husband Jake, Steven and his wife Taylor, Olivia and her boyfriend Liam and Katrina and her husband Greg. Known as “Big Pup” to his adored great grandchildren Valerie, Lincoln, Cecilia, Cameron, Griffin, Hadley and Harlow. Beloved Brother/Brother in law of his late sisters, Jean, Nancy and Barbara. As well as the late Maureen Reidy, Eleanor Piers and Michael Flaherty. Survived by Kathleen Flaherty and Donna and John Owens. Uncle of many nieces and nephews, he was loved by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 2:00-5:00pm at Blanchard's Funeral Chapel, Route 58 Whitman MA with the funeral to follow on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 10am in the funeral home. Burial to follow at St James Cemetery, Whitman.
