Obituary

Whitman – George Allan Hart, Jr., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday November 25, 2010 due to congestive heart failure. He was a resident of Whitman for fifty years.

Born in Winchester, MA on December 21, 1927 he was the son of the late George and Winifred (Harriman) Hart. He was a graduate of Arlington High School and the Mass Trade School.

George was a proud Veteran of the US Navy having served during World War II from 1946-1948.

For over 35 years he had worked as an engineer for EG&G.

He had been a faithful servant at Immanuel Baptist Church for 17 years.

George is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Marilyn (E. (Farrar) Hart, his loving children Dennis Hart and his wife Susan of Norwell, Sue Pulsifer of Whitman, Jeff Hart and his wife Michelle of Whitman, and John Hart and his wife Erika of East Bridgewater. He was "Papa" to Shelly, Tim, Jacob, Benjamin, Audrey, Brianna, and Janet. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Bekah, Zack, Isaiah, Brandi, and Abby and his sister Dorothea of Sebastian, FL. He was predeceased by his sister Winifred, his son-in-law Richard Pulsifer, and grandson-in-law Ken.

Visiting hours will be held Monday November 29 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, and one hour prior to his service in the Immanuel Baptist Church from 10-11 AM on Tuesday November 30. His funeral service will be held Tuesday November 30 at 11 AM in the Immanuel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at 1:30 PM in MA VA National Cemetery, Bourne.
