Obituary

Whitman – George S. Trevains, 87 of Whitman, MA died February 28 at the Brockton Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Quincy, MA on December 27, 1929 he was the second son of the late Samuel and Susan Trevains.

He had attended Quincy schools and served in the United States Maritime Service as well as the United States Army.

He spent thirty-five years working for Armstrong World Industries and retired in 1991.

He enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Strawberry Valley Golf Club.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-six years Shirley M. Trevains, his son Kerry E. Trevains and his wife Debra and his daughter Lynn M. Trevains all of Whitman, MA as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. George was the father of the late David Trevains of Whitman, MA and brother of the late Theodore Trevains of Bourne, MA

A private family service will be held at a later date.
