Obituary

Geraldine Anne Davis, 79, of Whitman, Massachusetts died on June 11 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born on November 9, 1942, she was the daughter of the late William and Cynthia (Whiting) Blakeman.

Gerry graduated from Cambridge City Hospital Nursing School in 1963 and worked as a Registered Nurse at Plymouth County Hospital, Old Colony Nursing Home, and Home, Health and Childcare.

Gerry was a devoted wife and mother, who loved spending time with her family, and relaxing at the beach and on her daughter's patio.

Among the many hobbies Gerry enjoyed throughout her life were knitting and crocheting, baking and cooking, doing crossword puzzles, listening to talk radio, and watching Jeopardy.

She leaves behind her husband of 57 years, Richard Davis, and her children Jennifer Nelson (and husband, Chris) of West Bridgewater, Kevin Davis (and wife, Cindy) of West Bridgewater and Allyson Davis (and Scott Foster) of Middleboro. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jillian, Caroline and Sophia Nelson of West Bridgewater, and Samantha and Hailey Davis of Middleboro, and her brother, Kevin Blakeman of Sharon, Vermont. She was predeceased by her brother, Brian Blakeman of Sharon, Vermont.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday June 23rd at 7:00PM, in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 5:00-7:00PM
