Hazel (Perkins) Prescott, 77, of Brockton passed away Friday November 9th surrounded by her family at home. She was the wife of the late Robert Prescott, Sr.
She was born and brought up in East Bridgewater, daughter of the late Edwin E. and Margaret F. (Ellis) Perkins. Hazel graduated from East Bridgewater High School, class of 1953.
Hazel has been a Brockton resident for over 30 years. She had worked several years as a housekeeper at the Brockton Hospital and the former Cardinal Cushing Hospital. Hazel also was a van driver for special needs.
She enjoyed crafts, candle making, floral arrangements, needle point, making ornaments and making cards.
She is survived by her children, Robert Prescott, Jr, Brenda Ferretti, Allison Prescott all of Brockton, Glenn Prescott and his wife Karen of Carver, her brother Thomas Perkins of Hanson and her sister Mildred Mather of NH: also her grandchildren, Jessica, Rebecca, Emily and Aaron, several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late David and William Perkins, Marjorie Whitten and Nancy Waterman.
Her services will be held on Tuesday November 13th at 11:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St.(RTE 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Burial will be in the Cedar Knoll Cemetery, Taunton, MA.
