Obituary

Whitman – Helen M. (Barry) Thompson 91 of Whitman passed away Tuesday January 27 at the Sachem Health & Rehab Center of East Bridgewater. She was the beloved wife of 59 years to the late Robert E. Thompson.

Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Lillian (O'Neil) Barry.

She is survived by her 9 children; Judith Grasso (William), Robert E. Thompson, Jr. (Chris), David Thompson (Ann), Lawrence Thompson (Margaret), Mary Ellen Thompson, Peggy Thompson (Deb), Ken Thompson, James "Whitey" Thompson, and Debra Jean Benson (Bob). She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Margaret Richter, Lillian Mezinski, and William Barry.

As per Helen's wishes no services will be held and donations in her name may be made to the Whitman Fire Department Gift Fund, Box 168, Whitman, MA 02382
