Helen R. (Cahill) Peters, 87, of Whitman, passed away on June 27th in the Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward D. Peters.
She was born in Boston, daughter of the late Paul F. and Florence G (Behm) Cahill.
Helen has been a Whitman resident for many years. She worked in Boston for the Kasanof's Bakery, at the United Shoe Machinery as a mechanical inspector and also at the Bostonian Shoe Company in Whitman.
She is survived by her children, Daniel Peters and his wife Shirley, Maureen E. Peters all of Whitman, Thomas J. Peters and his wife Kyle of Brockton and Eileen Gliniewicz and her husband Paul of Abington, her brothers, Paul Cahill of Maryland, Duncan Cahill of East Bridgewater, Donald Cahill of Florida and her sister, Cathleen Donnelly of Halifax; also 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Edward F. Peters.
Her services will be held on Monday July 2nd at 8:15 from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St.(RT 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00AM in the Holy Ghost Church , Whitman. Interment will be in the VA National Cemetery in Bourne at 12:45PM.
