Obituary

Whitman – Ione D. "Dot" (Oswell) Smith 87 a long time resident of Whitman died Thursday May 20 in her home, surrounded by her family after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Alton A. Smith.

Born in Brockton she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Maude (Daniels) Oswell.

She is survived by her children Judith Lemon of Plymouth, Donald Smith and his wife Sheila of Hanson and Gerald Smith of Whitman, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Thomas Oswell and Phyllis Cook.
