Obituary

James “Mark” Devlin, 79, of Whitman, MA, passed away on September 6, 2026 at the Brockton VA Medical Center.

Mark lived his early years in Randolph and later years working for Coca-Cola and Citco as a truck driver. His joy was opening his own auto repair business in Hanson, MA. Mark served his country from May 1967 to May 1969 in the U.S. Army. He served in Vietnam and was awarded a combat infantry badge, Pleiku, Vietnam.

Predeceased by his parents, Rita (Fitch) and James Devlin, sister Janet McCarrick and Julie and Michael McCarrick. Survived by his beloved partner, Kathy of Whitman. Sister Joan Churchill of Easton, nephew Richard Churchill of Plymouth, and nieces Christine and Alysa. Special friends with David and Ann Diaesto of TN, and Bruce Richards of South Weymouth.

Family and friends are invited to attend Mark’s funeral service on Tuesday, September 15th at 11 AM at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. A burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery at 1:30 PM in Bourne.
