Janet L. (Coletti) Bennett, 82 of Plymouth, formerly of Hingham passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease on March 3, 2026.

Janet was born in Braintree, MA and was a 1961 graduate of Braintree high school. She went on to become a Registered Nurse beginning her career caring for infants and children which extended into her ending her career caring for patients at end of life as a Hospice nurse.

She was predeceased by her husband David S. Bennett and is survived by her four children. Lynne Puopolo and her husband John of Plymouth, Stephen Gosselin and his wife Carin of Norwell, Kelly Lagrotteria and her predeceased husband, Skip of Rockland, and Christine and Richard Tedeschi of Whitman.

Janet is also survived by her sister, Carol Junkins and husband Russell of Hanson, the late Mary Gerrish and her husband Kenneth of Bridgewater, the late Richard Coletti and wife Terri of East Bridgewater, and the late Rosalie Rodick and her husband Martin of Whitman.

Lovingly known as “Gigi”, she is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren and will be terribly missed by all.

Family and friends are invited to attend Janet’s visiting hours on Wednesday, March 11th from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. All are welcome to the Blanchard Funeral Chapel on Thursday, March 12th at 9:15 AM before proceeding to Saint John’s church for a funeral Mass at 10:00 AM, 210 Central Street, East Bridgewater. 

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Avita memory unit via the Laurelwood Association fund or the Alzheimer’s foundation.
