Obituary

Jean (Britton) Lothrop, 70, April 13th at the Beth Israel Hospital, after a brief illness. She was the former wife of the late Howard Lothrop.

Born in Easton, lived in Pawtucket R.I. then Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Harold W. and Dorothy E. (Williams) Britton she was a graduate of Bridgewater High School, class of 1954.

Jean was a resident of Hanson from 1956-1979 before moving back to Bridgewater .

She worked at Component MFG. Company of West Bridgewater and was a shipping Clerk for the Foxboro Company in East Bridgewater.

Jean enjoyed all dancing, square and ballroom and bowling and also loved being with her children and grandchildren.


She is survived by her 2 sons and a daughter; Doug Lothrop of Middleboro, Howard Lothrop, Jr., of West Bridgewater and Dorothy Lamoureux of Bridgewater; her brother Russell D. Britton of West Bridgewater, her sisters Gertrude M. Boyle of Bridgewater and Helen V. Blanchette of Taunton; also 5 grandchildren

Her Funeral will be held Friday April 20th at 6:00 P.M., in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Route 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman. Burial will be at a later date.Visiting hour Friday April 20th 2-6 P.M..
