Obituary

Weymouth – Joseph F. Pierce, Sr. 60 died Saturday January 2 after a period of failing health.

Born in Boston and raised in Randolph and moved to Weymouth, where he remained for most of his life, he was the son of the late Harold D. Pierce and the late Helen (Vincent) Pierce.

Joseph was a self-employed welder and enjoyed playing pool and Harley Davidson motorcycles.

He is survived by his children Michelle and Lisa Pierce both of Whitman, his siblings Linda Purcell of Taunton, Richard Pierce of CT Louise Lennox of IN, Paul Pierce of CA, and Katherine Fernandes of Attleboro, and his grandchildren Jared and Caleb Pierce of IN. He was the father of the late Joseph F. Pierce, Jr.

His memorial service will be held on Saturday January 9 at 11 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Visiting hours will be held two hours prior to the service from 9 – 11 AM.
