Obituary

Josephine (Bruno) Peterson died Thursday February 21st after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Charles L. Peterson, Jr.

Born in Boston and raised in Revere she was the daughter of the late Charles and Donata (DePoalo) Bruno and a graduate of Revere High.

She resided in Easton for 35 years where she was a member of the Out Look Club and the Women's Club both of Easton. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Bridgewater Foundry for many years.

Josephine was also a communicant of the Holy Cross Church of Easton and member of the Ladies Sodality of her parish.

She is survived by her children Kenneth A. Peterson and his wife Jane of Norwell, and Janet Peterson White and her husband Bert of Pembroke, her granddaughters Jennifer Holth of Ct. and Michelle Peterson of S. Boston, and her sister-in-law Virginia Westerlund of Billerica and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Charles L. Peterson, III sister of the late Joseph and Lawrence Bruno, Stella Cogliano, and Gloria DeFeo, and sister-in-law of the late Beatrice LaTorraca.

Her funeral service will be held Tuesday February 26th at 8:00 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rt 58 @ the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00 AM in Saint Helen's Church of Norwell. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston. Visiting hours will be held Monday February 25th from 4:00-7:00 PM.
