Joyce (White) Barry, age 82, of Abington, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2026.

Joyce was born on March 13, 1943, in Quincy Massachusetts. She was the cherished daughter of the late Russell White and Phyllis Picard Pitts. She grew up in Quincy and was a graduate of North Quincy High School.

Joyce later became a longtime resident of Chestnut Glenn in Abington, where she quickly formed meaningful friendships and was a beloved member of the community for many years.

Throughout her life, Joyce worked as a hairstylist and waitress, and she also devoted herself wholeheartedly to her role as a homemaker. She brought warmth, care, and dedication to everything she did.

Joyce had a deep love for singing and dancing and was known for her vibrant personality and radiant presence. She had a special way of lighting up every room she entered. Above all, she was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose kindness and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her sister, Beverly, and was predeceased by her sister, Jean. Joyce was also predeceased by her son, Richard Wark. She leaves behind her sons, Lawrence Wark, Shawn Fenore, and her daughter, Kimberly Arbia. Joyce was dearly loved by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.

She will also be fondly remembered by her extended family, including many nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and dear friends.

Joyce found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—spending time with family, playing bingo with friends, and enjoyed going to the casino. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or quiet moments together, she created memories that will be cherished forever.

A beautiful, nurturing, and kind woman, Joyce will be remembered for her generous heart and the love she gave so freely. Her spirit lives on through the laughter of her family, the stories shared by friends, and the many lives she touched.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, located at 666 Plymouth Street (Route 58), (at the rotary circle), Whitman, Massachusetts.
