Obituary

Joyce M. (Burns) Cashman of Whitman died on October 21st at the age of 71, after battling cancer for the past several months. Joyce was born on January 4, 1945 in Taunton, to her parents, William Burns and Mildred (Marsden) Piccuito.

Joyce attended Silver Lake Regional High School. She spent the majority of her career in the healthcare industry, most recently as a Medical Records Supervisor at the former Mildred Alford Nursing Home in Abington. She was an avid gardener and huge fan of the New England Patriots.

She is survived by her son Thomas P. Cashman and his girlfriend Deborah Williams of Rockland, her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey P. and Elizabeth K. Cashman of Hingham. Joyce also leaves behind her four grandchildren, Matthew, Brady, Bennett and Brooke, numerous nieces and nephews and several lifelong friends. She is predeceased by her husband Paul B. Cashman and her brother William Burns.

At Joyce's request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of the South Shore, 30 Reservoir Park Dr., Rockland, MA 02370.
