Obituary

Judith A. Stevens, 81, of Middleboro, Massachusetts, peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by love, after a long illness.

Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to the late Thomas and Edna (Rau) Finn, she graduated from The Chandler School for Women and began her career in Boston, where she met and built a life with her beloved husband, David Stevens. She later found her true calling in early childhood education, dedicating more than 30 years as a paraprofessional in the Abington Public Schools, where she was known for her patience, warmth, and deep love for children.

She is survived by her devoted husband, David Stevens of Middleboro; her loving daughter, Kimberly Stevens of Hingham; her son-in-law, Tony Brady; and his fiancée, Christina Sears of Bridgewater. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Michele Brady, with whom she is now reunited in eternal peace.

She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, especially her nephew, John Bradley, and his wife, Diana Bradley, with whom she shared a close and cherished bond.

A woman of exceptional grace and quiet strength, she was known for her generosity, acceptance of others, and her deep love of gardening. Known to many as “Judebabe,” she found joy in nurturing life—whether in her garden or in the people around her—and her kindness left a lasting imprint on all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, February 16th from 4:00-6:00 PM with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman.
