Obituary

Halifax - Karen M. (Anderson) Peck 64, of Halifax formerly of Hanson, died Tuesday December 9. She was the wife of John Peck, for 23 years.

Born and raised in New York she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Eleanor (Marsh) Anderson and a graduate of Port Richmond High School in Staten Island, NY.

She had worked several years at the former Gloria Stevens Figure Salon of Braintree and later as general manager of Huttig Window of Pembroke. She most recently was a familiar face as serving as the function director for the Halifax Country Club,

Karen had been an active resident of Halifax since 1991. She had served as president of the Pembroke Jaycees, the Halifax Kiwanis, and was one of the founders of the Halifax-Plympton Business Assoc. For over 23 years she had organized an annual event to provide meals to the elderly and homeless on Thanksgiving.

She loved animals and had been a dog breeder. She also enjoyed quilting, the beaches of Cape Cod and trips to the casinos

In addition to her husband John she is survived by her children Joseph Staska and his wife Michelle of Hanson, Laura McGann and her husband Mike of Halifax and Jeanie Jergerson of PA, her step children Marjorie Souller and David Peck both of FL, James Peck, Matthew Peck and Joseph Peck all of Halifax and Robert Peck of CT and her brother Richard Anderson and his wife Marjorie of NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren Zach, Jessica, Nichole, Annika, Mikey, Summer, Will, Sienna, Sophia, Allesandra, Katlynn and Johnny as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Thomas Anderson.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday December 13 at 10:00 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Central Cemetery, Halifax. Visiting hours will be held Friday December 12 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
