Obituary

Brockton – Karen A. Bukin 56, a lifelong resident of Brockton died Wednesday September 2 after a long battle of many illnesses. She was the beloved wife for 35 years of Joseph McGovern and the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Bukin

She was born and raised in Brockton and attended Brockton Schools.

Karen was a devoted wife and mother and will be sadly missed by those who loved her.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her loving sons Robert and Joseph Bukin both of Brockton, her sisters Patty and Amelia, her brother Joseph, her grandchildren Gabriele Santino, Alexis Hope and Bianca Destiny, and a close family friend Michael Morgan of Brockton. She was predeceased by her brothers Peter and John.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday September 6 from 2-5 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. A memorial service will be held in St. Edith Stein Church (formally St. Edwards Church), Brockton at a later date.
