Karen A. (Thomas) Dunn of Whitman, MA, beloved and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, died suddenly at home early on Thursday, September 3, 2026. She was 76.

Karen was born and raised in Weymouth, MA, the 3rd of 5 children, to the late Joseph and Ruth (Jacobson) Thomas. She graduated from Weymouth High School in 1969 and married Daniel Dunn in 1971 with whom shared almost 55 years of marriage and friendship. They settled in Whitman, where they raised 2 daughters.

Karen enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and sisters; decorating; gardening; watching mysteries and taking trips to the ocean, especially Cape Cod.

She is survived by her loving husband; daughters Colleen Dunn of Whitman and Caitlyn and son-in-law Robert Molloy, and her treasured grandchildren, Charlotte and Bobby Molloy, all of Pembroke. Also survived by her sisters, Janet Sundberg and Judith McCue of Abington, brothers David and William Thomas, along with many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Wednesday, September 9th from 4-7PM at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Whitman (RTE 58, at the rotary circle). Thursday, there will be a Mass at Holy Ghost Church in Whitman at 1PM. All are invited to the funeral home on Thursday at 12:15PM to join in the procession from the funeral home to the church. Burial will follow at the Holy Family Cemetery, Rockland.
