IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Katherine Lyn (Lirosi)
Jenkins
December 26, 2025
Katherine Lyn (Lirosi) Jenkins, age 35, of Halifax, passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2025.
Kate was a beloved daughter, wife, sister, niece, and friend to countless people. Most importantly, she was an unwavering and devoted mother, which was her biggest source of pride and purpose. She had an infectious love for life, offering kindness, empathy, and wisdom to all those lucky enough to be in her presence. Kate’s intuitive care and warmth defined her relationships—within her home, among her friends, and throughout the community she created and cherished. Through her shrewd judgement, her laughter, and her ability to make ordinary moments feel special, she brought comfort and joy to all those around her.
Born on July 8, 1990, in Weymouth, Kate carried her values of compassion and loyalty into everything she did. She lived those values in her work as a nanny and early childhood educator, and most of all in the way she created magic for her children—seeing the world through their sense of awe and wonder. When she wasn’t with her kids, she could be found having a cup of coffee with her loyal canine companion George, enjoying a glass of red with food and friends, or enjoying whatever programming Bravo was offering up that day. She had a sharp wit, impeccable sense of style, and was always quick with a joke.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen; her children, Marlowe and Marshall; her parents, Raymond and Kerrie Lirosi, her brother, RJ Lirosi; and a loving extended family and many dear friends.
A service for family and friends will be held in celebration of Kate’s life on Friday, January 9th from 9-10am at First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, 226 Main St, Kingston, Mass. A reception from 11-3pm will follow at Granite Links Country Club in Quincy, Mass.
Kate will continue to shape and mold the lives of the people she cared about indefinitely. The sheer amount of people filling her home the last few days are a testament to the love and beauty she created. She will be missed beyond measure, but honored every day by her loving tribe.
