Leon Kanadanian, 94, of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026 at Brockton Hospital. He was born in Lancey, France on November 2, 1931 and is the son of the late Vaughan Kanadanian and Marguerite (Matoyan) Kanadanian. Leon came to America in 1956 after serving in the French Army. He learned English and obtained his U.S. citizenship. Leon retired after 30 years of work at Stop & Shop where he was a celebrated maintenance foreman who never met a machine he could not fix. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, and working on his home, yard, and cars.

He was the husband of the late Sandra (Morrison) Kanadanian and the brother of Jacqueline Garoyan, Beatrice Suppo, and the late Olga Gomez, all of France. He is survived by his three children, Monique Kanadanian and her wife Reena McClellan of Wilmington, NC; Michele (Kanadanian) Dauwer and her husband Robert Dauwer of Whitman, MA; and Koren Kanadanian and his wife Alicia Kanadanian of West Greenwich, RI. He is also survived by his grandchildren Emily Kanadanian of Franklin, MA, and Robert and Amanda Dauwer of Whitman, MA. Leon is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews living in France.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, September 27th from 12-2 p.m, immediately followed by a Memorial Service at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Whitman MA.
