Obituary

Linda (Hughes) Coughlin of Rockland passed away on November 19th at the age of 59 after a long illness. Loving wife of Robert A. Coughlin and devoted mother of Scott Smith and his fiancé Heather Salvucci and daughter Gia of Rockland, as well as Bobby and Keith Coughlin also of Rockland.

Linda was the daughter of Clara Hughes and the late Robert Hughes and beloved sister of Michael Hughes and his wife Tammy of Carver, Laurie Gola and her husband Chris of Quincy, and the late Robert Hughes Jr. and John Hughes; also survived by her stepson Patrick Coughlin, his wife Jodi and daughter Cora, and her nieces and nephew.

Linda was very devoted to her family. She enjoyed family gatherings, cooking, baking and testing her luck with an occasional trip to the casino with her husband. Linda faced many challenges since falling ill. She faced it all with great strength and courage. She will be missed by all of those that loved her.

Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral services on Monday November 23rd at 8:00AM, from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St.(RTE 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00AM in the Holy Family Church, Rockland. A private burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held on Sunday November 22nd from 3:00-6:00PM
