Obituary

Lloyd E Patriquin, 77, died November 15th in the New England Medical Center in Boston, after a brief illness. He was the former husband of Beverly (Elliott) Patriquin of Whitman

Born and brought up in Brockton, he was the son of the late John and Alice (Mann) Patriquin.

He was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1946 and Northeastern University, 1962 in Accounting & Business Administration

Lloyd was in the National Guard in the 1950's.

He was a very active member of the Republican town committee. Starting in 1960, he was a member and former chairman of the Whitman Republican Town committee, first elected by a 25 vote margin and elected every 4 years thereafter. He was last elected 2004. He was a delegate to the state convention in Lowell in 2002&2006; Worchester in 1998; a caucus member for Republican National Convention 2004. He also was on the Whitman planning board, Whitman Housing Authority, Whitman-Hanson Regional School District Committee, P-K School District, South Shore Vocational Technical High School, Holt School Study Committee and South Shore Regional School District.

Lloyd was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Whitman, where he was the moderator, head usher, Chairman of Trustees, treasurer and much more. He also was the Whitman Representative for the American Baptist Church. He was past president of the Lions Club where he has been a member since 1954.

Lloyd also owned and operated the Whitman Theatre.

He will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his former wife, Beverly, his son Steven Patriquin, his 2 daughters Debbie Phippen and Rhonda Patriquin, his 5 grandchildren Jessica, Ryan Joe, Harrison, and Jordan and his 1 niece. He was also the brother of the late Earl Patriquin.

His funeral will be held Tuesday November 21st at 10:00 A.M. in the First Baptist Church, Washington Street, Whitman, Ma. Burial will follow in the St. Michael's Cemetery, Avon, MA. Visiting hours Monday November 20th 4-8, in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Route 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman Donations may be made in his name to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund, Washington St, Whitman MA.02382,
