Obituary

Lois M. (Kierstead) Hanson, a lifelong resident of Plymouth, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on June 13, 2021 after a long illness.

Lois was born July 10, 1936 in Plymouth, MA where she continued to reside for her entire life.

She was the wife of the late John P. Hanson, Jr. and mother of the late Carol A. (Hanson) Machado.

Lois leaves behind three daughters, Lynn M. Merrick of Middleboro, Karen Haimaidi of Florida and Diane Hanson of Plymouth. She also leaves six grandchildren; Diana Haimaidi of Carver, Melissa Cartolano of Plymouth, Ashley Brainard of Pembroke, John Hanson Machado of Plymouth and John C. Merrick of Middleboro as well as one great grandson Dylan W. Merrick of Middleboro.

A private graveside service will be held.
