Obituary

Louis DeFeo 75, of East Bridgewater, died Monday September 4 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of 20 years to Janet (Hanson) DeFeo.

Born and raised in East Boston, he was the son of the late Frederick and Susie (Tacardo) DeFeo and a graduate of East Boston High School.

Louis had worked for over forty years for Harvard University, retiring as the Director of Scientific Design.

He enjoyed biking around the South Shore and target shooting at the local gun club.

In addition to his wife Janet, he is survived by his children Scott DeFeo and his companion Joan of Berkley, Andrea Sheedy and her husband David of Dighton, and Marc DeFeo and his wife Faith of Lakeville. He is also survived by his brother Frank DeFeo and his wife Julie of FL and his sister Mary Chicoine and her husband Troy of CT as well as four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours Saturday, September 9, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, with a service to follow at 12:00 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater.
