Obituary

Louise H. (Ricker) Hackenson, 84, of Hanson formerly of Whitman, passed away on Wednesday August 29th, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the wife of the late Roger C. Hackenson.

She was born and brought up in Greenfield, daughter of the late Charles and Mildred (Clark) Ricker and a graduate of Greenfield High School. Shortly after high school, Louise joined the United States Navy, serving during the Korean conflict from 1953-1957.

Louise was a longtime resident of Whitman for 54 years. She worked several years as a printer at the New England Art Company in Abington.

She enjoyed gardening, ceramics and going to bingo.

She is survived by her children, Eric C. Hackenson and his wife Patricia of Bridgewater, Carl E. Hackenson, Sr. of Dennis Port and her daughter Donna (Morgan) Taylor and her husband Stephen of East Bridgewater; also many grandchildren, two sisters and many nieces and nephews.

Her visitation will be held on Tuesday September 4th from 5.00-8:00PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
