Obituary

Marion (Slinger) Tisdale, 95, of Abington passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025.

Born in Rockland on May 16, 1930 and raised there as well, Marion was the daughter to the late Clarence and Annie (Soule) Slinger. She was a graduate of Rockland High School. Marion raised her four children with her husband, LeForrest Tisdale, in Abington. She worked for many years for the New England Art.

Marion enjoyed to knit, she was very talented. She also would enjoy going on trips to Foxwood and Twin River Casino. Above all else, her favorite time spent was with her family.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, LeForrest Tisdale. As well as her beloved daughter Debbie Karafelis.

Marion is survived by her children; Brian and Marise Tisdale of Brockton, Diane Tisdale of Roslindale, and Donna Conrad of Gonic NH. As well as her grandchildren; Nathan Tisdale, Michael Conrad, Jacob Karafelis, Issac Karafelis, and Roslyn Maloney. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend Marion's visiting hours on Tuesday, November 18th from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. A funeral service will be held at the funeral chapel on Wednesday, November 19th at 10:00 AM with a burial to follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Abington.
