Obituary

Mary F. (Canty) Raymond, 84 of Hanson, died on Monday May 7th, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Richard S. Raymond.

Mary was born and brought up in Easton, daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Kane)Canty. She attended Easton Schools.

She has been a resident of Hanson for 60 years. In her early years she worked for the New England Telephone. Mary was the cook for the Maquan School in Hanson, for over 30 years.

Mary was known for sitting on her porch, keeping watch on the neighborhood. She enjoyed attending all her children's sports games, was an avid bingo player and Monday visits to Foxwoods.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Richard J. and David Raymond both of Middleboro, her 2 brothers, Jim and Paul Canty of Florida; also her grandchildren, Jenny and Richard Raymond and her great grandson Nicholas Raymond; several nieces and nephews.

All services will be private.
