Obituary

Michael A. (Big Mike) Birt, 70, of Whitman passed away on December 24, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Brighton. He was the son of the late Charles and Helen (Fiske) Birt.

He was a cross country truck driver for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and making them laugh. He was a "social butterfly" and frequently visited the Protectors Club, the French Club, the American Legion and even the American Legion of Cartersville Ga. where he became a member.

His favorite pastimes included fishing, car shows and sharing stories of his adventures.

Michael is survived by his 3 children, Michael Jr. (Jana) of Gainesville FL, Wendi (Bill) Quirk of Whitman, Amanda (Ed) Blanchard of Palm Bay, FL. Grandchildren Haley Birt, Brandon Quirk, Kyra Quirk, Morgan Blanchard, Madison Blanchard and Great Granddaughter Sienna Kiehner. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Birt of Weymouth, brother Robert (Debbie) of Rockland and Georgia Moir and many nieces and nephews

Due to COVID there will not be a viewing. A memorial service will be held at a later date, details will follow.
