Obituary

Michael A. Hopps Sr , 60, of Hanson, passed away on August 10th at the Norwood Hospital suddenly. He was the husband of Nancy A. (DuVal) Hopps.

He was born in Toledo, Ohio son of the late Arthur and Norma Jean (Helser) Hopps, He grew up in Lodi, Wisconsin, and moved to Massachusetts in 1975.

Michael was a jack-of-all trades, having worked as a car mechanic, carpenter, and a steam boiler engineer.

Mike enjoyed, cooking, gardening and fixing everything, he could.

In addition to his wife Nancy, he is survived by his step-father Neil Bruns, his son Michael Hopps Jr. and his wife Emily Hopps, his daughter Jessica Hopps, the mother of his children, Suzanne (Fontaine) Hopps, his grandsons, Brandon and Evan Hopps, his step children, Kerry Connelly, Jillian and Eric Westland, his sisters Vicki Alderman and Deborah Frank and her husband Terry ; also several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Sandy Welsh.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services on Tuesday August 16th at 7:00PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St (Rt58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Visitation will be prior to his service from 4:00-7:00PM
