Obituary

Michael J. Long died on February 16, 2019 in Middleboro. Michael was a loving father, son and brother. He was loved for his incredible sense of humor.

Born in Brockton in 1980, he was the second child of John and Elise (Hammond) Long. A graduate of Coyle Cassidy High School and Sacred Heart University, Michael spent many years working for his family business and eventually started his own business as a construction contractor.

Michael is survived by his daughter, Addisyn Long and her mother, Michelle (McCole) Long. He leaves behind his mother, Elise (Hammond) Long; and his siblings, Cory Long and Stacy Warner; as well as by his nephews and his many aunts, uncles and cousins. He predeceased by his father, John Long; his paternal grandparents Frances and Rita Long; and his maternal grandparents Roy and Lorraine Hammond.

His funeral service will be held Saturday February 23 at 11:00 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Visiting hours will be on Friday February 22 from 4:00-8:00 PM. A private burial will be held at a later date.
