Obituary

Mildred "Millie" (Harris) Blanchard, 88, died July 3rd in the Norwell Knoll Rehabilitation in Norwell, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Alton Blanchard. Born in Brockton a daughter of the late Lester C. and Mildred L. (Whynock) Harris. Millie was raised in Whitman, and a graduate of Whitman High School. She was a Whitman resident for many years and retired to Florida. She worked at M.I.T in Boston and the Eastern Machine & Design in Hanson.
She is survived by her daughter Diane Holman of Pembroke, her brother, Robert Harris of Marion, 3 grandchildren: James Holman, Sondi Hahn and Sherri Dyer; also 6 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Joseph Harris.
