Obituary

Abington – Mildred E. (MacPhelemy) Young 87, died Tuesday April 21 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late James L. Young.

Born and raised in Abington she was the daughter of the late Harold T. and Vera M. (Blanchard) MacPhelemy.

Mildred enjoyed reading, knitting, candy making, traveling, and dining out.

She is survived by her daughters Judith F. Young and Susan E. Young both of Abington, her sisters Barbara L. Olson of Clemmons, NC and Phyllis A. Schlager of Zephyrhills, FL. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late John A. MacPhelemy.

Her services will be held Friday April 24 at 11 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Visiting hours will be held Thursday April 23 from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society, 455 Plymouth Street Abington, MA 02351
