Obituary

Nancy E. (Gudas) MacDonald, of Abington, passed away on June 7th surrounded by her loving family in the South Shore Hospital after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth R. MacDonald.


Nancy was born and raised in Quincy, daughter of the late Leo and Annie (Souden) Gudas. She was a graduate of Quincy High School.

She has been a resident of Abington for the past 52 years.

Nancy worked for the Raytheon Company until starting a family. She later worked in the cafeteria at the Frolio School in Abington.

She enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling and spending time with her family and many friends.

Nancy was the devoted mother of David E. MacDonald of Abington, Susan C. Rowe and her husband James, Karen L. Jakowicz and her husband Frank all of East Bridgewater, loving sister of Marion Zopatti of Bourne, loving grandmother of Justin, Holly and Olivia Rowe of East Bridgewater ; also many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late, Dorothy Simontachi, Ethel Jutila, Jessie Gallo, Harold and Margie Gudas.

Her Services will be held on Monday June 11th at 11:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth ST. (RT58@the Rotary Circle) Whitman, MA. Burial will follow in the MT. Vernon Cemetery, Abington, MA. Visitation will be on Sunday June 10th from 2:00-4:00PM. Donations may be made in her name to the American Heart Assoc.
