Obituary

Patricia D. (Hackstock) Bates, 72, of Abington, died on Sunday December 18th in the Brockton Hospital. She was the wife of Thomas Bates for 51 years.

She was born in Springfield and 1 of 5 children of Fred and Grace (Clark) Hackstock.

She is survived by her children, Laura, Steven and Brian, her grandsons, Steven and Joshua and her sister Sr. Marie Grace, also several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday December 23 at 8:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00AM in the St Bridget Church, Abington. Burial will follow in the MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 11:30AM. Visitation will be on Thursday December 22 from 3:00-7:00PM.
