Obituary

Phyllis M. (Stewart) Freberg 75, died Tuesday February 12th, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Charles V. Freberg.

Born and raised in Quincy she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Pemberton) Stewart and a 1951 graduate of Quincy High.

Phyllis worked at the Patriot Ledger for 2 years, and as a bookkeeper for her husband's carpeting business as well as a payroll clerk at the Bostonian Shoe Company.

She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and knitting.

She is survived by her children, Charlene Freberg of Randolph, Donna Rowe of Braintree Phyllis M. Freberg of Abington, Denise Ewell and her husband Roy of Holbrook and Charles Freberg, Jr. of Scituate, her sister Shirley Tirrell of Weymouth, and her brother Harold Stewart of Florida. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Charles Stewart.

Her funeral service will be held Friday February 15th at 1:00 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rte 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Mount Vernon Cemetery, Abington. Visiting hours will be held Thursday February 14th from 4-7 PM.
