Obituary

Plymouth – Phyllis M. (Wright) Blakeman 79, died Friday September 20 after a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerald M. Blakeman, Jr.

Born in Brockton she was the daughter of the late George Wright and the late Ruth (Prescott) (Wright) Pike and Robert C. Pike.

Before her move to Plymouth, Phyllis had been a longtime resident of Whitman.

She enjoyed bowling and was avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and Celtics.

She is survived by her loving children Gerald M. Blakeman, III of Whitman, William Blakeman of Worcester, Bradford Blakeman and James Blakeman both of Plymouth, and Cheryl Todd of West Virginia. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Wiggin of Florida as well as 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend her visiting hours to be held Thursday September 26 from 4-8 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. By request of the family all other services are omitted.
