Obituary

Richard "Rick" R. Benton, 59, of Hanson, Massachusetts, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Accent Care Hospice.

Born on September 11, 1965, Rick was the beloved son of Jean (Gallo) Benton and the late Ralph Benton of Hanson, MA. A dedicated and valued employee, Rick worked in transportation for Ingle Bus Service in Hanover for many years.

Rick was an avid Boston sports fan and held season tickets for the Patriots for many years. He also loved traveling, camping, skiing, and pizza. Rick enjoyed spending time with family and friends, always ready to make everyone laugh.

He leaves behind his life partner of 14 years, Grace McCormick of Hanson; his mother, Jean Benton; his brother, Mark Benton, both of Hanson; and his nephew, Robert Benton of Key West, Florida.

Family and friends are invited to attend Rick's visiting hours on Sunday, March 2nd, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 5:00 PM. Both will be held at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary), Whitman.
